The Excellence in Equity Award

The Being Luminary Excellence in Equity Award gives your school a complete toolkit to assess, plan, implement and improve its diversity, equity and inclusion work, and to be recognised for it.

Inside the Award you will find the evaluation framework, a digital workbook, a diagnostic to measure progress towards the Award, a draft DEIJ policy, a step-by-step guide to writing a diversity statement, a strategic plan template, an equity impact assessment, and Luminary Listening, our guide to gathering stakeholder feedback.

Schools on the Award join a monthly call, with a theme each month drawn from the Being Luminary DEI Maturity Evaluation: positionality, leadership, professional learning, curriculum, student culture, staff culture, parent culture, policy, physical environment and digital environment. Recordings of every call are kept in the hub, so you can catch up or revisit.

Each school has a named lead consultant and a progress-to-the-award meeting.

Who it is for: a school, or a group of schools, that wants a structured, supported route to excellent equity practice over the course of a year.
