Being Luminary: The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Programme

Our signature programme. Being Luminary is for school leaders and thought leaders who want their organisations to become safe harbour: places where every member of the community can arrive as themselves and do their best work.

The programme opens with an orientation session, the Belonging Framework, and the strategic planning tools your leadership team will use throughout: a strategic plan, a DEIJ statement, a draft DEIJ policy and a step-by-step guide to writing a diversity statement.

It then runs across six sessions, one for each of the protected characteristics: sex, pregnancy and maternity; race; sexual orientation; disability; gender; and religion and belief. Each session comes with a presentation, a slide deck, a shared Padlet, and a "reflection to strategy" task that turns what you have discussed into something your school will do.

Who it is for: senior leadership teams and governing bodies who want to lead this work properly, from the top, over a year.
